Description
FCA is looking for a creative, thoughtful, and collaborative Project Interior Designer to join our healthcare team in Orlando. The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare design experience, enjoys working with a diverse team, and is comfortable building positive, lasting relationships with clients, consultants, and colleagues.
This is an opportunity for someone who can both lead and contribute—bringing creative ideas to the table, supporting the project team, mentoring emerging designers, and helping create thoughtful, effective environments for healthcare clients and their communities.
Responsibilities
Develops innovative, practical, and aesthetically thoughtful interior design solutions that support the goals and intended use of each project.
Leads and contributes to interior design work, contracts, and presentation materials throughout all phases of a project.
Builds and maintains strong, collaborative relationships with clients and project partners.
Develops and shares expertise in healthcare interior design, materials, finishes, and applications.
Collaborates with and coordinates a diverse team of interior designers, architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
Provides guidance, mentoring, training, and support to entry- and mid-level interior designers.
Works closely with project leadership and team members to coordinate design solutions and successfully move projects forward.
Creates an environment where team members feel supported, encouraged to contribute, and comfortable sharing ideas.
Helps foster a positive, collaborative project experience for both clients and colleagues.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design.
Must be local to Orlando, Florida.
10–12 years of relevant interior design experience, including at least 3 years of healthcare experience.
Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
Excellent client relationship and leadership skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Excellent time and project management skills, with strong follow-through.
Ability to plan, organize, motivate, mentor, direct, and evaluate the work of others.
Ability to take direction, collaborate with others, and confidently lead when appropriate.
Strong knowledge of healthcare finish materials and their application.
NCIDQ certification preferred.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, 3ds Max, SketchUp, and Photoshop.
A positive, team-oriented approach and a genuine interest in working collaboratively with others.
