Description
Los Angeles, CA | Part-time, 15-20 hrs/week | $22/hr
We're a boutique studio specializing in historic home restoration and craft-forward interior design. Right now we're in a busy stretch: multiple active restoration projects across LA, plus we're opening The Antiquarian Club — a private creative space and studio home built around revival, preservation, and keeping old things alive. We're launching in September, so there's a lot moving at once.
We need a part-time intern who wants to be in the middle of it.
Hybrid Position with some time in our studio, some work from home, some field work and errands
What you'll do:
Assist with FF&E sourcing, pricing, and procurement tracking
Update project documentation and material libraries in our project management platform
Support construction document drafting and redlining
Attend site visits and take detailed field measurements/notes
Research historic materials, finishes, and furnishings — we're deep into archival tile, heritage wallpaper, and period hardware right now
Help with studio setup and spatial planning as we settle into our new home
Support Antiquarian Club programming and event pre
What we offer:
$22/hr, paid weekly
Flexible scheduling around classes or other work
Direct exposure to every phase of residential restoration, from demolition to final install
A front-row seat to the launch of The Antiquarian Club and our studio's next chapter
Work that actually matters, not just inbox management
To apply: Send your resume, a short note about why old houses interest you, and a few images or a PDF of any relevant work
Requirements
What you need:
Currently enrolled in (or recent graduate of) an interior design, architecture, or related program
Confidence + taste level in current product sourcing
Genuine interest in historic homes, preservation, and the weird problem-solving old houses demand
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to track multiple projects without losing your mind
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Some familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit
Bonus points if you: Already know Materio (or are eager to learn fast) (or are already fluent in another design project management program like programma or studio designer)
