Company History
The holding company for the TSAR brand was established by David and Kerrie Sharpley. The company began as a hand tufting business, producing custom-made rugs for the architectural and interior design sectors and, before long, retail clientele.
In response to requests from retail from commercial clients, TSAR began to explore the possibilities of making wall-to-wall carpet using the techniques perfected in area rugs.
Hand tufting and pass machine techniques were employed to produce unique carpets. This development led to TSAR’s involvement in a variety of high profile commercial projects including hotels, corporate tenancies and exclusive residences,
both through architectural and design firms and direct client contact.
