Company History
Our History
In 1985, our company started out as a small office supply store located on the Franklin Street Mall in Downtown Tampa. Because of the location on the Franklin Street Mall, the company was named "Mall Office Products." Services were provided to customers that walked in the store as well as deliveries made to businesses in the downtown area.
In the summer of 1989 the Mall Office Products store was purchased by Joni and Bill Adams. The store was then redesigned and marketing efforts increased on the commercial side of the business.
Mall Office Products was located on Franklin Street on the ground level of the old Sun Bank building, which is now owned and occupied by the Police Department. As talk began to arise regarding the possibility of Sun Bank selling the building, we relocated our store to its current location on Tampa Street across from the Hyatt in 1995.
In 1994 we opened our furniture division, Refurbished Office Furniture, in the Westshore area on Cypress Street. We rapidly outgrew this space and relocated to our current 39th Street location in 1996. This location serves the Bay Area much better and offers much more space to expand into.
ROF sells and buys used office furniture. Our specialty is in the systems furniture (cubicles) such as Steelcase, Haworth, & Herman Miller. We sell the product in as-is or remanufactured condition. The remanufacturing process includes repainting, reupholstery, refinishing, fabbing and cleaning. In addition, we sell brand new and custom made furniture.
Steelcase, Haworth, and Herman Miller are top of the line systems furniture manufacturers. Their product is top quality and will last a lifetime. Instead of disposing of the product into the landfills when the fabric becomes outdated or dirty or when the client just wants a new look, we remanufacture this product to look like brand new with whatever fabric and paint color the client wants. This is a win-win for everyone. The client gets to buy top of the line heavy duty cubicles that look like brand new for almost half the price and the product is saved from going to the landfill extending its usefulness.
With the huge success of ROF and the increasing demands of trying to run both divisions, we sold the office supply division and the name in November 2000. We began operations as Refurbished Office Furniture, Inc. and devoted 100% effort to furniture.
As ROF grew and became more widely known in the community, our services to our clients expanded greatly. We became a one-stop shop for our clients. The concept of Blended Design emerged as our designers and sales team began to work with the clients helping them to blend the remanufactured product in with their existing product with a touch of new product to add that extra feeling of design and innovative look for our client. We became so much more than just Refurbished Office Furniture. Thus in November 2016, we changed our name and logo to Reimagine Office Furnishing to highlight our new concept of blended design in which we inspire our clients to reimagine the way they see and use their work environments as we bring a new look of collaboration, innovation, and modern pizzaz to the workplace.
