Company History
Circa Lighting was founded in 1998 by Gale Singer. After having worked for Visual Comfort for 10 years (the leading manufacturer of decorative lighting founded by her brother Andy Singer), Gale moved to Savannah, GA. There she conceived the idea for a well edited lighting showroom where clients could shop in a boutique like atmosphere. She found 375 square feet in Savannah’s historic district (talk about well edited) and the first showroom was born.
Gale recognized how overwhelming the lighting selection process could be. Her desire to streamline that process is evident in the Circa showrooms today. Additionally, she wanted the outreach to interior designers, architects and builders, to have a similar experience, one with well procured offerings. Circa Lighting continues to be the premiere distributer of Visual Comfort products as well as a small collection of other hand-picked manufacturers.
Today Circa has 7 showrooms across the country along with a very active internet presence. Our plan is for continued growth in key markets. Circa Lighting remains committed to beautiful design and, above all, a brilliant customer experience.
