Momentum Textiles & Wallcovering is seeking a Sales Representative in Connecticut, Western Massachusetts, Vermont, Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess County, New York
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, possess strong people and communication skills, have a positive attitude, and be self-motivated. POSITION PURPOSE
To provide best-in-class service to clients, including designers, purchasing firms, and end users, via product and industry knowledge, introduction of new products and innovations to drive sales within the textile, wallcovering, acoustical, and architectural specification process. Increase profitable sales as designated in the strategic plan while working within expense guidelines. Work as a member of a cohesive team of world-class sales professionals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY ACTIVITIES
Build and maintain strong business relationships with potential and current clients
Establish and manage an account base according to a defined sales process.
Meet sales targets and expense budgets.
Manage territory based on CRM dashboard metrics and meet monthly targets.
Maintain detailed records in the CRM and sales pipeline
Schedule and travel to in-person appointments.
Attend required training meetings.
Learn and apply new product information to develop effective presentations.
Exhibit strong product knowledge.
Brand building to include industry involvement in key trade associations.
Quick response to customer inquiries.
Solution-based selling activities.
Established lead group and/or active in IIDA, NEWH, or AIA.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
At least 3-5 years of sales and/or interior design experience
Experience selling contract textiles/wallcovering/acoustics and/or architectural products desired
IIDA and/or NEWH member or affiliation desired
Outgoing with an intense desire to achieve
Excellent presentation skills
Computer proficient
Live in the Connecticut or Westchester, NY area.
Overnight stays at a minimum twice a quarter
