Our interior designers play a vital role in shaping experiences from the inside out—bringing material richness, environmental performance, and a human-centered design approach to creating meaningful places where people truly feel they belong. We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer with exceptional design and communication skills to join our San Francisco office. The right candidate will be committed to our mission and core values; bringing compassion and curiosity to their work with a highly collaborative team.
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
-Lead the interior design process from programming through construction administration, ensuring design excellence and alignment with project goals.
-Develop and articulate compelling design concepts through sketches, presentations, and material palettes that communicate a clear design narrative.
-Lead client presentations and design workshops, building strong relationships, and guiding clients through design decisions with clarity and confidence.
-Oversee selection and specification of finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), ensuring integration with architectural design and performance goals.
-Collaborate closely with architects, clients, consultants, and contractors to maintain design intent, quality, and project vision.
-Mentor and inspire junior interior design staff, fostering creativity, curiosity, and professional growth.
-Contribute to project documentation, schedules, and budgets, maintaining accountability and design integrity throughout the process.
-Support business development efforts through participation in interviews, proposals, and marketing initiatives.

At the time of this posting, the salary range is between $95-115,000. Our final compensation decision includes a candidate's experience, qualifications and education.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
- 8–12 years of relevant professional experience, including leadership of interior design on complex projects.
- Strong conceptual design skills and a refined sense of materiality and spatial experience.
- Experience with workplace, higher education, cultural, or civic projects preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering tools (Enscape or similar).
- NCIDQ certification and/or professional licensure preferred.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Passion for sustainable design and creating places that foster belonging and impact.
- Substantial knowledge of building materials, product specification, installation and construction methods as they relate to areas of specialty.
- Ability to anticipate, identify and resolve problems in a timely and positive manner.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
