Description
We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join our team and contribute to a diverse range of projects alongside an integrated group of design professionals. This role will work closely with the design team to lead projects from early concept through execution, including creative development, documentation, FF&E, coordination, construction administration, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Documentation & Construction Oversight
- Produce detailed and accurate furniture plans, interior elevations, custom millwork/casework drawings, and design documentation.
- Maintain a high professional and aesthetic standard across all construction sets and project deliverables.
- Review fabrication shop drawings and construction submittals to ensure alignment with design intent.
- Work independently as lead Interior Designer on project teams led by Architects or General Contractors.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency throughout the full project lifecycle.
Project Management & FF&E Coordination
- Coordinate the selection, documentation, and execution of finishes and furnishings across multiple projects.
- Prepare and maintain project boards, finish schemes, and sample sets with accurate specifications, pricing, and availability.
- Track materials, samples, approvals, and procurement-related documentation.
- Translate creative development into clear presentations, schedules, and internal documentation.
- Prepare meeting agendas, presentation materials, and documentation for client and architect reviews.
- Document key decisions, action items, and next steps to ensure project clarity and accountability.
Requirements
Requirements
- BS/BA in Interior Design or Architecture
- 5+ years of industry experience and/or a notable design portfolio
- Strong understanding of design processes, techniques, and visual elements
- Proficiency in 2D drafting and documentation, including plans, sections, elevations, millwork/casework, and construction sets
- Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while sustaining pace and focus
- Passion for learning and professional growth
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional licensure (NCIDQ, CID, or Architecture license)
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Studio Designer
- 3D modeling and rendering skills
