Company Overview
WRJ Design creates luxurious expressions of our clients’ unique needs. Beyond offering interior solutions, we create experiences—beautiful and compelling, restful and revitalizing. Exacting in our professionalism, we endeavor to understand each client’s aesthetic while incorporating our trademark refinement. For inspiration, we turn to the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains as well as our fluency in contemporary European styles and our knowledge of art, design, antiques and architecture. With our design showroom and offices headquartered in Jackson, WY, we bridge natural mountain elegance and international sophistication in our spectrum of projects, which range from private residences and landscapes to public exhibitions and events.
In everything we do, we strive for timeless harmony of texture, color, function and scale by weaving the heritage of pieces from personal collections with the fresh narratives of carefully-curated elements. Together, new and old tell a story unique to each client, a story skillfully imagined by WRJ.
Company History
Rush Jenkins, one of our principals, started his design career as a Landscape Architect (graduate from Cal Poly Pamona). He then worked in a European antiques showroom in Los Angeles, followed by a graduate degree from the Sotheby's Institute in London in Fine and Decorative Arts. Upon completion of his degree, he moved to New York City, where he became the Director of design at Sotheby's. In 2003, he began WRJ Design, which began to focus on interior design projects, along with the exhibition design work at Sotheby's.
In 2008, Klaus Baer, a graduate of Parsons the New School for Design, joined the company as partner. He immediately brought his 10+ years of experience managing graphic/production teams at Bear Stearns and Goldman Sachs to the firm, and also began to manage all of the operational logistics of the firm.
In 2011, the two relocated the firm to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and soon after opened their 2,000 sq. ft. showroom and design offices just off the main town square.
Currently, we are working on a variety of projects across the country that range in size and scope.

Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
Interior Design Projects: Our projects have ranged from the east to the west coast, and have varied in scope from small studio apartments in New York City to meandering horse ranches in Somis, CA.
Exhibition Design Projects: Having designed and curated over 60 private sales and exhibitions for Auction Houses, Museums and Galleries, WRJ has had the honor and privilege of having access to some of the most revered private collections in the world. Some of our projects have included: Former First Lady Nancy Reagan dress exhibition, the Collections of Bill Blass, The Kennedy Family Homes, Katharine Hepburn, Laurance Rockefeller, Bob Hope, Cher, Lily Safra, Barbara Streisand, Michael Jackson and many others, exhibitions featuring the works of Matisse, Alberto Giacometti. Every collection challenges us to continually refine our eye as well as our approach to design and the decorative arts.
